BICYCLE TOURS WE SERVE
DALMAC (MICHIGAN)
The Dick Allen Lansing to Mackinaw Bicycle Tour (DALMAC), which is a nationally known Michigan bike tour, originated in 1971 by former State Representative Dick Allen.
DALMAC is Michigan's great end-of-summer bike ride. Cap off a summer season of riding with a camping bicycle tour that winds up north from Michigan State University's beautiful campus up through the rolling farms of central Michigan through up north lake country on Labor Day Weekend. DALMAC is a camping tour and the objectives of DALMAC are to develop an awareness of bicycling and its needs among the citizens of Michigan, to promote bicycling as a healthy means of transportation and recreation, and to encourage wider participation in bicycle use. DALMAC staff is exclusively volunteers of the Tri-County Bicycle Association (TCBA).
All DALMAC routes will begin at the MSU Pavilion in East Lansing and follow country roads whenever possible to attempt to provide the safest, most scenic routes between campgrounds on this Michigan bike tour.
